PATHWAY U7-U8
The Pathway program is an excellent opportunity for those that have enjoyed the rec playing experience at ages U5, U6, and U7 to transition to the entry-level of the competitive travel program offered at Union FC Indy.
Training
Each of our Pathway teams will have two team trainings per week during the fall and spring outdoor seasons.
Pathway players will get one training session per week over the winter in 3, four-week blocks. Winter training in the Indoor Facility will be to help fill the players’ technical backpacks, to develop their individual qualities. Indoor training will be run by the Pathway age-group coaches.
Block 1 – November - December
Technical skills for appropriate game day use
Block 2 – January
Competitive games with internal and external competition
Use of “Futsal” Ball to enhance technical aptitude
Block 3 – March
Team building through small sided game focus
A winter indoor festival will be offered in early December
League Games
Pathway teams participate in league play in the Central North Conference League (CNC). All games will be played on the North or West side of Indianapolis. Union FC Indy is a host for one of those game days. In general, there are 8 league games in the Fall, and 8 league games in the Spring.
Tournaments
Pathway Team Fees cover one tournament in the fall, and one tournament in the spring. Additionally, one 5v5 / 7v7 Festival will be played at Union FC Indy in the spring
The fall tournament that each Pathway team participates in will be Union FC Indy’s own Socctoberfest as well as an additional tournament for teams to participate during the year
Additional Foot Skills Training Opportunities
Coach Mo offers his dynamic footskills training in a pay to play scenario through the fall, winter and spring.
Additionally, To help facilitate players’ ability to develop their technical skills at home, Union FC Indy provides every one if it’s players access to the Techne Futbol App (“the soccer training app designed by pros for the motivated player looking to improve on their own”).
